Lists

I’m a list person. When I’m not adding onto my list, I’m re-arranging my list to make it more concise. I make lists about lists. Lost yet? Im not… its on my list. It guides me through the day. I constantly re-check my lists to make sure I’m not forgetting anything. I even add on things that are unnecessary to put on a list. Today, for example, I remembered I owed my roommate 10$, so I added that onto my list as well. My lists get so long, that I have to make new lists that prioritize what actually needs to get done. The best investment I ever made was my 20$ planner that I bought at the beginning of the year. It has a built in, lined list section designed especially for people like me. But the BEST part of making lists of course, is crossing things off of lists. Nothing feels more rewarding then knowing that you were productive. I wonder if that is why I like making lists so much–because I can visually look back on everything that I have done that day and feel like I have actually accomplished something. Write one blog for the day–check. Sigh.

Best Feelings in the World

Occasionally I have to step back from the chaos of everyday life and remember the simple things that bring me joy. For instance:

-santas with real beards
-finding money you didn’t know you lost.
-free refills
-clothes just out of the dryer
-brand new sweatshirts
-the Price is Right when you’re sick
-naps with football in the background
-breakfast in bed
-marshmallows
-babies
-campfire smell
-hot soup
-the other side of the pillow
-the fetal position
-getting out of the car after a long drive

Can you Add Correctly?

So, 98% of the population all get the same answer at the end of this survey…

I must have been part of the 2% because I ended up in Dubai with some grapes!

Then afterwards I was reading some comments that people left on the site, and check this out:

I always fall for these conspiracies.

Guiness

I’m loving this new commercial:

Guinness- Bring it to life

Oscar winning directors and photographers worked on this great new spot. It was said that, “It took 45 women, 6 days to hand stitch the artificial grass,” and some of the scenes were shot in temperatures at temperatures close to 30 degrees below zero. I think that this new angle is more captivating then the “good things come to those who wait,” pitch. Being able to take control and create your own world is a concept that is solid and influential. Guinness is already my beer or choice, but I have never wanted one worse than after this commercial.

Here are some other fun facts:

It took 3 months of preparation before any filming began in Canada
185 rolls of film were used for the NZ production, one of the largest uses of stock for a commercial filmed in NZ
The glacier shot was filmed at 8,500 feet in NZ
Driveable access to the river location in NZ was uninsurable for vehicles and it took 2.5 hours to cover 45km in 4WD vehicles
The underwater shoot in Fiji took 3 days to complete
It took 3-4 months to build the underwater fish scene and 2-3 weeks to build the winch which pulls up the trees
The NZ team brought in a 20 ton off road crane for the rain spinners and portable dams for the rain effects

When Im Feeling Down

When I’m feeling down …. This website makes me feel better:
songs-that-make-you-feel-better

I don’t know how they do it, but they always play songs that make me feel better. I decided this weekend that one of the biggest attractions about Pandora is the element of surprise. If you saw the playlist that was about to be played beforehand, you might not be as inclined to listen to it. However, when a song comes on that someone else picks for you, it always sounds better.
